2. Criteria
The first and presenting author must be a member of the Physiological Society of Japan (PSJ), the Japanese Association of Anatomists (JAA), or the Japanese Pharmacological Society (JPS).
If you are not currently a member of any of these societies and wish to present your paper as the first author at the meeting, please apply for membership.
However, symposium speakers are not required to be members of these societies.
The Physiological Society of Japan (PSJ) also offers “Temporary Membership,” which allows non-members to submit papers for regular presentations by becoming temporary members during the valid period of this membership.

1）Symposia
In principle, all symposium speakers are expected to present on-site during the meeting.
2）Regular Presentation (Oral / Poster)
Generally, all oral presentations are to be conducted on-site.
Please note that if you request an oral presentation, it may be changed to a poster presentation following the review process.

4. Application for Awards
1. Young Investigator Award (YIA)
Selected presentations from the regular presentations (Oral) will be considered for awards.
If you wish to apply for the award, please choose “YIA” when registering your abstracts. Please note that only one application per laboratory is allowed for YIA submissions.
Approximately 30 awardees will be selected, with prizes awarded to the recipients. The awardees will be announced after the final poster session, Therefore, we encourage you to remain present until the end of the event.
Eligibility: Applicants must be under 36 years old as of April 1, 2025.
Presentation format: Oral
Presentation language: English
If you wish to apply for the award, please choose “YIA” when registering your abstracts. Please note that only one application per laboratory is allowed for YIA submissions.
Approximately 30 awardees will be selected, with prizes awarded to the recipients. The awardees will be announced after the final poster session, Therefore, we encourage you to remain present until the end of the event.

2. Physiological Reports Presentation Award / Graduate Student Presentation Award
Graduate student oral and poster presentations will be considered for awards.
The awards are basically for the researches on physiological topics, but also anatomical/physiological/pharmacological topics including biological functions or pathophygiology are welcome.
To be eligible, please select “Physiological Reports Presentation Award” in the award preference section during abstract submission. Three types of awards are available.
Six presentations will be selected as candidates for the Physiological Reports Presentation Award.
Regardless of their preference for oral or poster presentation, selected candidates are required to present orally at the selection meeting (date and time specified).
Based on the results of the selection meeting, three presentations will be awarded the Physiological Reports Presentation Award.
The next three presentations will receive the Graduate Student Presentation Excellence Award.
From those not selected for the above meeting, candidates for the Short Talk (Day 2, 16:50-) will be chosen.
Graduate Student Presentation Award will be given to presenters recognized for excellence during the Short Talk evaluation.
Please note that Short Talk presenters are also required to proceed with their originally scheduled oral or poster presentations.

This award is sponsored by the open-access journal “Physiological Reports,” jointly managed by The Physiological Society (UK) and the American Physiological Society (USA) and published by Wiley.
Award recipients will be announced during the meeting and will receive a certificate and a cash prize of 250 USD.
After the meeting, recipients will also be featured on the Physiological Reports website and social media platforms.

Graduate Student Presentation Excellence Award
This award is given to presenters who were selected for the Physiological Reports Presentation Award evaluation but were narrowly placed as runners-up.
Graduate Student Presentation Award
Candidates for this award are selected based on a preliminary evaluation of their oral and poster presentations and are invited to deliver a Short Talk.
A limited number of awardees will be chosen from each participating society.
The winners will be announced following the final day’s poster session, so participants are encouraged to stay until the conclusion of the conference.

3. Undergraduate Poster Award
Undergraduate students presenting posters are eligible for selection for the Undergraduate Poster Award. To be considered for this award, please indicate your interest by selecting “Undergraduate Poster Award” in the award preference section of your abstract submission.
Approximately 20 awards will be granted, along with additional prizes. Award recipients will be announced following the poster presentations on the final day of the meeting. Therefore, we encourage you to remain present until the end of the event.
Eligibility: Undergraduate students
Presentation Format: On-site poster presentation
Evaluation Method: Judging will take place during the poster presentation.

Please register via the “Submit Abstract Here” button located at the bottom of this page. - Abstract submission requires a membership number for the respective society:
・Japanese Anatomical Society: The 6-digit number located below your name on the mailing label of the society journal or related materials.
・Japanese Physiological Society: The 6-character alphanumeric code consisting of an uppercase “P” and a 5-digit number, found on the bottom right of the mailing label for the Japanese Journal of Physiology.
・Japanese Pharmacological Society: Please log in to the member management system to check your membership number, which is a 6-digit number.
*For new members or those in the process of joining, please enter “999999.”
*For non-member symposium presenters, please enter “000000.” - Formatting requirements:

Body: Within 2,000 characters
Authors: Up to 15 authors can be registered.

7. Conflict of Interest (COI) Disclosure
All presenters (including co-presenters and non-members) at this joint conference are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest (COI) related to their presentation. Please adhere to the COI criteria and disclosure procedures established by the respective societies.
If, within the past three years from the date of abstract submission, you have had any financial or other relationships with companies, organizations, or entities related to your presentation that meet any COI criteria, you must self-disclose this information.
Include a statement regarding your COI status at the end of your abstract. Additionally, your presentation slides or poster must clearly indicate your COI status (e.g., COI: Declared or properly declared). If no conflict of interest is present or none of the criteria are met, you are not required to make a disclosure. In such cases, please indicate on your slides or poster as (COI: None or COI: NO).

This joint meeting adheres to the ethical guidelines for abstract submissions as outlined by the Japanese Medical Science Federation’s Research Ethics Committee or the Japanese Anatomical Society. Please confirm whether you have obtained the necessary review committee approvals for human or animal research when submitting your abstract.

9. Industrial Property Rights Considerations for Presentation Content
If you plan to apply for patents or other industrial property rights related to the content of your presentation, please be aware that the content notification date will be the public release date on the abstract search website, which is scheduled for March 3, 2025. Please consider this timing when planning your industrial property filings.

You may review and update your abstract during the submission period. To do so, please log in using your abstract registration number and password via the “Submit Abstract Here” button below.
Please note that after the submission period ends, no further modifications, changes, or additions to the abstract, authors (including first and co-authors), or affiliations will be permitted. Ensure that all details, including affiliations and co-author information, are accurate and complete, as this information will be included in the program booklet.

14. Notification of Acceptance
Decisions regarding the acceptance of abstracts, as well as details on presentation dates, formats, and venues, will be communicated via email in early December, once the program is finalized.
Please note that the Program Committee will make the final decisions on abstract acceptance, and some abstracts may not be accepted.
Additionally, abstracts for symposia may also be subject to content review by the Program Committee. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.
