It is our great pleasure to announce that the 103rd Annual Meeting of The Physiological Society of Japan will take place from March 10 (Tuesday) to March 12 (Thursday), 2026, at Tokyo Medical University. The venue is conveniently located within walking distance of Shinjuku Gyoenmae Station (approximately 7 minutes) and JR Shinjuku Station (approximately 20 minutes).
Physiology, as a discipline dedicated to uncovering the fundamental principles of life, has played a pivotal role in advancing both life and medical sciences. By exploring biological phenomena from the molecular to the organismal level, physiological research has significantly contributed to our understanding of disease mechanisms, pathophysiology, and the development of innovative therapeutic and preventive strategies—ultimately promoting human health.
Since its inaugural meeting in Kyoto in 1922, the Annual Meeting of The Physiological Society of Japan has served as a vital platform for researchers and educators in the field to exchange knowledge and ideas. For the 103rd meeting, we have chosen the theme:
“Physiology in Harmony” – The Bridge to the Future
The functions of living organisms are intricately shaped by a complex interplay of factors, including diet, lifestyle, social environment, and external conditions. Through this meeting, we aim to deepen our understanding of these dynamic interactions and explore the fundamental principles that govern life. By fostering discussions from diverse perspectives, we hope to build bridges that will shape the future of physiological sciences and beyond.
The conference will be held in Shinjuku, a district that offers a captivating blend of traditional and modern Japan. From historic sites and lush parks to vibrant cityscapes, world-class entertainment districts, and renowned cuisine, Shinjuku provides a rich and immersive cultural experience alongside an intellectually stimulating conference environment.
In closing, we extend our heartfelt wishes for your continued success and warmly invite you to join us at the 103rd Annual Meeting of The Physiological Society of Japan. We look forward to welcoming you in Tokyo.
Sincerely,
Yukiko K. Hayashi & Utako Yokoyama
