Guidelines relating to presentation of research results
An important objective of the conference is to engage in lively debate and to exchange information by sharing the latest research results, including those that have not yet been published. In order to achieve this objective, we ask you to follow the guidelines set out below with respect to research presentations.
- The following behavior, which could seriously damage mutual trust among participants, is prohibited.
Capture/save (including screen capture), photographic, video or sound recording of raw data presented or displayed at the verbal presentation venue or the poster venue (including streaming) without the permission of the presenter.
Disclosure of the above research data to a third party via SNS or similar media without the permission of the presenter. - When making presentations, as far as possible, there should be no concealing of molecule names, methodologies, theoretical concepts or ideas that are central to the research.
- Presenters are to take responsibility for the handling of information relating to patent applications and the like.
- Presenters are required to disclose any conflict of interest in this meeting.

Abstract Submission Procedure
1. Choice between Online and On-site Poster Presentation
Please select either online presentation on November 26 (Tue) or on-site presentation from November 27 (Wed) to 29 (Fri) for your poster presentation.
For online presentation, please also indicate your preferred time slot.
2. Oral Presentation at Open-call Symposium
All 135-minute open-call symposia and some 80-minute mini-symposia are accepting abstracts for presentations from general submissions.
If you wish to give an oral presentation at an open-call symposium or mini-symposium, please choose one theme from the provided list.
All oral presentations must be conducted on-site, and online presentations will not be acceptable.
After the review by the organizers of each symposium, we will notify you of the result by e-mail in early September.
* Please note that abstracts accepted for oral presentation at symposia must also be presented as posters.
3. MBSJ-EMBO Poster Award *Only Students and Postdocs are Eligible.
Students and postdocs who have submitted general abstracts for the annual meeting are invited to apply for the MBSJ-EMBO Poster Award.
We encourage all students and postdocs to apply!
Eligibility: Students / Postdocs
How to Apply: Please check the appropriate box when submitting a general abstract.
Selection Method: The first round of selection will be conducted based on a peer review of the submitted abstracts. The second round will be based on the content of the posters, not on the presentation or Q&A (for both online and on-site presentations). Presenters who pass the first screening will be notified in late October.
Notification of Award Winners: Award winners will be announced on the website after the meeting.
4. Travel Grants for Early Career Researchers Overseas
MBSJ2024 will provide travel grants for early career researchers residing overseas.
